Eggspectation in Ellicott City

Honestly, what can I say about this place? It's amazing it's perfect it's everything. I was skeptical at first when I heard about the establishment from a friend, but I figured I might as well try it out and I'm glad I did.From the decor to the food to the ambiance it was all beautiful and delicious. I was equally if not more impressed by the hostess, Becca, who made us feel welcome and attended to. I would recommend anyone come here simply for her.

Firstly, the food is always great ,exceptional, and the service too. I’d like to thank the manager, Kirby and his staff member’s for coming to our assistance today regarding an incident that took place in the parking lot. Great food, great people.

The kitchen (not staff) service was horrible. Cold food for me, and burnt food for my cousin. We spoke with the manager (Justin) who knowingly knew about the kitchen challenges they were experiencing and act like he was doing us a favor by slight adjusting the check. That was not acceptable to us, so we requested that he comp our check and offer us something small for an incentive to return. He ended up doing something comparable but was a little smug in doing so.

Very disappointed in this restaurant. Always making excuses when they mess up the order. The manager who's name is either Jason or Justin was and always is very rude and blames the customer. Gave this place 3 chances they never make it right

Fast service with great social distancing.

Super crowded. I was made to feel very uncomfortable here, the owner only plays Fox News on all of the TVs-including the bar where we sat. I did not come to be political only to eat a nice meal.

Such a cute place with amazing food! I always get the crab benedict for breakfast. My husband recently got the lobster mac and cheese and it was incredible! We just recently moved to the area and will be frequenting this restaurant for sure!

So, could have been lower but for the manager. The benedict is good too at least. Issue, as with most restaurants is the employees. If not absent in time, then absent in spirit. I’ve never seen so many that wanted to be anywhere else. I’m sure there are great wait staff. But I didn’t see them. There was another manager that could have cared less about issues. The place is festive and wait during the holidays isn’t terrible and the food is good. I’ll come back but not often. If the food changes in quality to match the staff I won’t. Here’s to hoping the young lady, manager, turns things around. She was very professional.

Great food, service and decor! I've enjoyed everything from their menu. A real GoTo for breakfast, brunch, lunch, drinks, dinner and/or desserts!!

I LOVE eggspectation. My family and I used to go there all the time. We moved now and there are no eggspectations here. I wish there was one here though because the crepes and the english cream are to die for!

This restaurant offers everything I could want in a for lunch, dinner, and especially breakfast! The staff are friendly, helpful, and courteous. The managers and supervisors walk around from time to time and check on their customers. The food is prepared well with just the right portions. Awesome spot!

We definitely enjoyed this spot for Saturday brunch during a 1 day trip to MD. For 6 people the bill was not expensive at all. The food came in large portions and was really tastey. I wasn't impressed with their breakfast options. We all had pasta or burgers. Really good!

Just left the Ellicott City location. Great service. Lovely atmosphere. Really tasty food. Only place I’ve been able to find shrimp and grits . Really enjoyed it. Well worth the money. Definitely will recommend to others and will be visiting again.

Great place with great ambience. My favorites: New Orleans polenta, shrimp egg Benedict, chicken waffles. Their crepes requires improvement to the batter had a rubbery texture. Love their eco centric sustainable touch.

Decent food but must be one of the loudest restaurants around. Needs some sound damping material on walks, ceiling and floor. If you want to enjoy conversation with family/ friends while you eat....go elsewhere.

I'd pass. Better off the same chain elsewhere! I ordered a bagel sandwich today from here through door dash and the egg wasn't fully cooked. Egg white yolk leaking out could see right through it. Not hard to cook an egg. Anyways, I love this chain - just not this location.

We requested a quiet corner, and was brought to the back room, which looked completely different from the main dining room. It was quiet initially until the room was filled. We ordered an Espresso. It had a lot of cream and the coffee was not hot. I got the veggie crepe. The crepe was thick and chewy. Not crazy about the food. The service was attentive. The bathroom was clean.

Delicious food, well packaged to go, friendly customer service. We decided to order lunch for carryout yesterday, and were happy with the friendly guy taking our order over the phone. Our food was ready right when he said it would be. The food we got (burger & BLT) were cooked exactly as we'd hoped. I found the prices to be a little higher than what I'd got, but it was still good overall.

Since dining has opened back up, this was a great experience. They have a large outdoor dining area, and bathrooms setup outside that are very clean. The food was so good, as always. The wait staff was very professional and everything was incredibly clean.

Had a craving for a great club n fries. But It's 630 and you're not taking anymore to-go orders??

Always delicious entrees. My husband ordered a burger and it was perfectly medium rare and delicious. The lamb lollipops were juicy. This is always a delicious lunch spot.

Great food and drinks. Blackberry mimosa was delicious, as were the breakfast tacos. Nello provided amazing service!

Went there with a small wedding party. They let us use their party room at a moments notice. The manager , Tito, and our waitress , Maria, were most accommodating as were the rest of the staff...and of course the food was fantastic. Thank you so much!

Went for brunch and weren't disappointed. Portions were great for the price, and service was fast and friendly! Menu was huge with tons of selection,Will and a decent happy hour selection. Will return to try other things on the menu.

Really good Breakfast. I ate at the Ellicott City location, it was clean and the staff were nice but like every place in the area it had a wait so be prepared. They have breakfast selections you don't see everywhere and the food is well cooked and tasty.

Line this place. We had only ever ordered out from here but today my husband surprised me by taking me too breakfast for my birthday. Anna, our server, was a ray of sunshine, she gave a great coffee recommendation & when I vaguely described what I was in the mood for showed me the perfect thing on the menu. The atmosphere is a wonderful combination of interesting things to look at and subtle. I highly recommend.

Food is pretty good and staff is great. Prices are commiserate with high quality food.

Everything. Is. Delicious. (My goal is to eventually try everything on their menu)That is all.

Our holiday luncheon was held at Eggspectation today. I hadn't been there for awhile. I was truly satisfied with the service, the food and the atmosphere. Our staff was impressed with the menu selections and desserts. I highly recommend stopping by.

Terrible customer service and order processing on Mother’s Day. I ordered food for my wife to receive by delivery which was never made by the restaurant and the driver sat for over an hour. We’ve tried calling the restaurant repeatedly with no answer. This is really disappointing, especially when the food was preordered.

OMG! This place is incredible! Their offerings are upscale & delicious! Our service was flawless & professional. Overall, Worth the Wait!

When I lived in the area, my family and I used to come out here on the weekends around 2-4x a month. They food is very creative and done well. The presentation is great. The vibe is comfortable and artsy. The service is nice. The desert area in the front looks very delicious, and it may want you to try everything! Lol it's totally worth coming here, even with the wait on the weekends.

Place looks very nice. Plenty of outdoor seating available as well. Food is good, few dishes are a bit bland. Food has always been fresh whenever I’ve eaten there. Love the southwest omelet and burgers. Coffee is great! Staff took good precautions amid the Covid pandemic. They kept distance between the customers. Place was clean.

This place is amazing! The food is great plus the staff are friendly. Even the name of the restaurant is on point.

My favorite breakfast place, ever. Lunch and dinner menus are also very good, but it is especially good for breakfast. They also have a full bar, in case you want a mimosa, etc., and the service is excellent. Get there early or you will be waiting a while.

By far one of my favorite breakfast places. It gets booked up fast so be sure to make reservations or get there early. I love the Yolk Around the Clock but have never gotten anything bad here. I definitely recommend it if you're in the area for breakfast, brunch, or lunch!

My fiancé and I have been here a couple of times. Food is average but the service is great. The prices I think are definitely on the higher side. But hand in hand they are good just not great, if the food was a higher quality then it would be a little different. I just feel like this is an over priced ihop that serves alcohol. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Service was great. We were seated and waited on, within seconds. Our waitress was very pleasant, as was the rest of the establishment.She also checked on us periodically. I was very impressed and pleased, especially with the lack of service in some places. Can't wait to go back.

Food was fine. Don't have high Eggspectations if you want breakfast. Pretty standard breakfast food and mine was cold. I had the short rib hash and it was just shredded, flavorless beef mixed with a scant amount of veggies. We were seated in the back room and our waiter rarely came by. It took about twenty minutes to get the drinks but the food was more prompt. It was quite busy and this may have affected the quality and service a bit.

All i can say is breakfast is always hot and yummy. Try the fried green tomatoes, grits and bacon. Strawberry topped waffle is great too. Not much area to wait in so people were outside with phones. I sit in boths because it noisy for me otherwise. Enjoyed it. Waitress was spot on it.

Food is always awesome! Dine in was great with so ial distancing. Restrooms are closed but they have a trailer with two toilets in it. Very clean for an upscale porter potty.
